Job Description

Red Oak Medical Clinic, part of Montgomery County Memorial Hospital (MCMH), is seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our Primary Care team at the Red Oak Medical Clinic. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while serving as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. Duties include, but are not limited to, patient registration and scheduling, obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting required signatures, answering and directing incoming telephone calls, managing appointment requests, and maintaining accurate patient records within the electronic health record system. This position plays a key role in supporting clinic operations and ensuring a positive patient experience. The Patient Access Representative must be able to recognize situations that may require immediate clinical attention and communicate concerns promptly to the appropriate nursing or provider staff. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced primary care environment. Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills are essential. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with patients, families, providers, and coworkers in a professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate manner while maintaining confidentiality and providing outstanding service at all times.
