Hours are 8 AM - 6 PM CST, (exact shift times determined separately) Monday to Friday In-office position Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision 401 K Paid holidays Role Overview As a Patient Services Advocate, you will play a vital role in helping eligible patients access high-cost medications through our pharmacy services and support programs. You will conduct outbound outreach, build trust with members, and guide them through a consultative enrollment process with a strong focus on excellent service and education. Member Engagement & Outreach Make and take calls to eligible members to introduce NIH's pharmacy services and medication support programs Build trust quickly through professional, clear, and supportive phone conversations Guide members through the education + guided enrollment process from initial contact through completion Support voluntary enrollment by helping members understand the value of the program, including medication access, potential cost savings, and fulfillment support Consultative Enrollment Approach Use a consultative, non-pressured approach to help members make informed decisions Explain program benefits, next steps, and expectations in simple language Confidently address questions, concerns, and objections while maintaining a service-first tone Tailor conversations based on member needs, medication type, and enrollment status Pharmacy Services & Medication Coordination Support members in transitioning eligible high-cost medications through NIH's pharmacy network and procurement channels Coordinate prescription intake, enrollment, documentation, and fulfillment steps with internal pharmacy operations Assist with provider, pharmacy, and member follow-up as needed Monitor each case through successful enrollment, medication fulfillment, and first delivery Member Experience Excellence Deliver a high-quality, service-first member experience in every interaction Ensure members feel informed, supported, and confident throughout the process Maintain consistent follow-up to help complete enrollment and next steps Accurately document calls, enrollment status, and coordination activity in internal systems Performance & Accountability Maintain strong outbound call activity, follow-up discipline, and case progression Meet or exceed engagement, enrollment, and medication conversion goals Support successful medication fills and a smooth transition experience Continuously improve communication approach based on member response and team feedback Consistent high call quality scores that showcase excellent customer service and member support Qualifications Background in phone sales, outbound calling, enrollment, customer service, or a similar member-facing role Experience in life insurance, health insurance, Medicare, ACA, final expense, contact center sales, healthcare, pharmacy, or patient services preferred Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with people by phone Ability to guide conversations with empathy while still moving toward clear next steps Strong organization, follow-through, and attention to detail Comfortable discussing healthcare and medication-related topics in a clear and supportive way Success in This Role Success is defined by the ability to consistently engage members by phone, explain the program clearly, guide members through education + enrollment, and support the successful transition and fulfillment of eligible high-cost medications through NIH's pharmacy network.
