Job Description

M-F, 7:30am-4pm The Cash Poster/Patient Financial Services (PFS) Associate is responsible for accurately posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts while providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors. This position serves as a key member of the Patient Financial Services team by ensuring timely and accurate cash posting, mail sorting and postage, answering and directing incoming calls through the hospital switchboard, and assisting walk-in patients with billing inquiries and payment processing. The Cash Poster/PFS Associate maintains the confidentiality of patient and financial information, supports efficient revenue cycle operations, and promotes a positive patient experience through professional, courteous, and responsive service. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The position works collaboratively with clinical departments, registration, and other business office staff to ensure accurate financial records and exceptional customer service.
