at VisionPoint Eye Center If you have outstanding hospitality experience and a heart to serve others, VisionPoint Eye Center has a position that will allow you to shine as a Patient Support specialist. Your face is one of the first our patients see as you greet, check in and help patients navigate their visit to our very busy practice. Our fast-paced work week 8 AM-6 PM on Mondays and Thursdays and 8 AM-5 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Friday with a half day Saturday rotation is conducive to family life with a regular schedule. Our four eye surgeons, ten optometrists and 120+ associates will welcome you to our team and help you develop the skills you need to excel in providing very personalized care to Central Illinois residents.
Job Responsibilities:
Support and implement VisionPoint's vision, mission, and values. Warmly welcome patients to the practice and help them check in for scheduled appointments, make appointments and answer questions. Document detailed information into the patient's electronic medical record to ensure records are accurate and clear. Communicating with other associates about patients concerns or questions. Answering phone calls and assisting callers or directing callers to the appropriate staff. Supporting team members in providing quality care.
Requirements:
Desire to serve others by listening and responding to needs and concerns High school diploma or equivalent Previous doctors' office experience preferred, but we will provide training. Demonstrate strong computer skills and previous experience using electronic medical records a plus Ability to work independently with multiple tasks and shifting priorities Strong Work Ethic Ability to multi-task
