Work Environment This role is based in our outpatient office located in Joliet, Illinois, where you will work collaboratively in a supportive, engaging environment with a focus on interdisciplinary care. The aesthetic of our facility promotes a healing atmosphere, designed to make patients feel comfortable and assured throughout their recovery journey. You'll engage daily with an enthusiastic team, participating in case conferences and strategy meetings aimed at enhancing patient service delivery. Key Responsibilities Directing and implementing personalized physical therapy programs aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function in patients. Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) to ensure adherence to agreed-upon treatment plans and effective delivery of therapeutic services. Conducting thorough evaluations using diagnostic assessments to identify patient needs and create actionable care plans. Assessing patients' home environments and recommending modifications to enhance safety and independence. Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as traction and massage to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes. Completing clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams during case meetings to evaluate patient progress and refine treatment strategies. Educating patients and their families about treatment protocols, exercises, and the proper use of therapeutic devices to bolster patient engagement. Maintaining timely and accurate records of clinical orders and documentation as per the organization's policies. Functioning cooperatively within the team, providing mentorship to PTAs, and ensuring quality assurance in all aspects of care provided. Patient Population / Client Focus Our primary focus is to serve patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. In this role, you will work closely with adults and elderly clients who require rehabilitation services, as well as with their families, guiding them through the recovery process and empowering them to take an active role in their care. Qualifications Holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Possesses current licensure for physical therapy in the state of Illinois and maintains good standing. Holds a valid CPR certification. Maintains a valid driver's license and automobile insurance. Demonstrates a strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality care, and patient advocacy. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and effective communication to engage directly with patients and families. Shows creativity in problem-solving and excels in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience At least one year of experience in a physical therapy role, preferably in an acute care or home care setting. Experience in rehabilitation practices, including custom assessments for patient home adaptations. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation standards. Compensation and Benefits This full-time Physical Therapist position offers an annual salary ranging from
USD 100,000
to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
