Position Summary Rush Pediatrics Patient Service Representative proactively ensures an exceptional experience for patients when greeting, checking in, and checking out during their appointment; answers incoming phone calls, responds to general patient requests, and schedules patient appointments. Verifies insurance information, collects payments, and ensures appointments are scheduled properly. 40 Hours per
Week:
Shift times will vary, but will be during the following times: 7:45am-5:30pm (4 days a week), 9:45 am-7:30 pm (1 day a week), 1 Saturday per month 7:45am-12:15pm This position may work in multiple locations: Rush Pediatrics & Family Medicine Oswego, Rush Pediatrics Aurora, & Rush Pediatrics Aurora Ridge. Position Requirements Education and Previous Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred. Hardware/Software Experience Practice management/medical billing computer programs. Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) Other Characteristics Excellent oral/written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Excellent customer service skills Detailed oriented Willingness to proactively collect payments Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and develop applicable policies and procedures (e.g., regarding collections) Flexible; able to adapt to change Bilingual (Spanish) strongly valued
