About the Role As a Patient Access Representative at Quincy Medical Group, you will help create a positive first impression for our patients while ensuring they have a smooth experience accessing care. Whether assisting patients at check-in, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, or answering questions, you will play an important role in supporting both patients and care teams. Schedule Full-time position based at one of Quincy Medical Group's Quincy, Illinois locations. Schedules vary by department and may include different start and end times. Specific schedules and department placement will be discussed during the interview process to help determine the best fit. No overnight shifts. Fast-paced healthcare environment focused on exceptional patient service and access to care. Primary Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional, welcoming, and compassionate manner. Register patients and accurately collect demographic, insurance, and financial information. Schedule appointments and assist patients with appointment changes and follow-up visits. Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required authorizations as appropriate. Collect co-payments and process patient payments according to organizational policies. Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with scheduling, registration, and general inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record system. Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and care teams to support efficient clinic operations. Provide excellent customer service while managing multiple tasks and priorities. Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous customer service, administrative, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or office experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer and data entry skills required. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling patient information. Experience with healthcare registration, scheduling, or electronic medical records is helpful but not required. Commitment to providing exceptional service and creating a positive patient experience. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.35 - $23.03 per hour , with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
