Job Description
Admissions - Patient Registration Clerk PRN Variable Days/Nights/Weekends 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. As a rural hospital, CRMC is surprising because of its large size and wide variety of services. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff. The Patient Registration Clerk registers and pre-registers patients for hospital and clinic services. S/he obtains demographic, financial, pre-certification or authorization information.
JOB DUTIES
Provide prompt and accurate service to promote high standards and quality Collect deductibles, co-insurance and non-covered charges as outlined by policy Answer incoming calls and visits regarding patient accounts; explains financial policies to patients Research account issues; correct and/or initiate correction of errors Initiate outgoing telephone contact with patients for payments and payment arrangements Assist registration and medical records as necessary Prepare standard registration/admission forms for patients or transfer related tasks Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy The Patient Registration Clerk assumes other responsibilities as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
H.S.
