Collects insurance, co-pay, and deductibles at Point of Service. Quickly and efficiently expedites the registration process. Provides a positive first impression of the hospital to the public. Travel to the Versailles, Lawrenceburg and Georgetown locations are required. How you'll contribute Ensures all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered accurately and timely into the registration system Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational materials to patients or family members Meets with patients or caregivers before or after admission to exchange information, explain processes, and address questions or concerns Communicates with physician offices, nursing units, and other staff to coordinate admissions and determine appropriate placement Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification/authorization as necessary. Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow-up. Required Skills Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Education High School Diploma or GED Preferred; Associate degree preferred. Certifications Handle with Care certification required within 30 days of orientation and maintained annually

Full Time:
