How you'll contribute: Provides direct patient care in the outpatient surgical setting using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Documents patient care provided. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patients and families; provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Performs other duties as assigned.
