Job Description

Scheduled Weekly Hours:
32
  • 32 hour day shift position with varied days and shifts (8-430 or 830-5) including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 7am to 330pm and alternating holidays.
Responsible for registering patients and updating information in the patient's electronic medical record. Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information, while providing patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor Ability to professional handle all interactions within a fast paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment. Ability to think critically in making decisions to ensure urgent or emergent situations are handled correctly within hospital policies and procedures. Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent computer skills
Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:
Minimum two years of computer experience Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting Knowledge of medical terminology
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
