Medical Director, Inpatient Substance Use, Primary Care and Behavioral Health

(Physician/MD qualifications required) Medical Director - An award winning nationally accredited non-profit leader in the prevention, treatment, and recovery of mental health and substance use disorders is seeking a Medical Director (Family| Internal Medicine) for an Inpatient Unit. The inpatient unit offers a full, end-to-end continuum of care for drug and alcohol addiction and substance use disorder. Our professional staff has experience with treating patients with widely varying needs. Unit offers a wide range of treatment options that include Inpatient Detoxification, Residential Rehabilitation, Extended Residential Care, Sober Living, Outpatient Clinic, Family Recovery Management, Psychiatric Services and Telepsychiatry The medical director oversees all medical care and directs the activities and functions of the inpatient medical staff. The Medical Director provides on-site medical and clinical leadership for the unit, coordinates with other providers to facilitate effective patient care. Mentors clinicians, develops and implements clinical policies, procedures and protocols relative to medical issues affecting addiction treatment. The medical director must have experience providing overall healthcare, behavioral and addiction treatment in an inpatient treatment setting and the ability to work with, support and supervise a multidisciplinary treatment team in the areas of behavioral health, substance use disorders, counseling and overall patient care.
