Job Description
We are seeking a dependable and service-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a positive patient experience by handling registration, insurance verification, scheduling support, and front-end administrative duties. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Hours:
3pm - 11pm Every other weekend (16 hrs/week)Responsibilities for the position: Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous mannerComplete patient registration and verify demographic and insurance informationObtain and enter accurate data into the electronic medical record systemCollect co-pays and other required patient paymentsAnswer incoming calls and assist with scheduling or general inquiriesEnsure all required forms and documentation are completed and signedMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelinesCoordinate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth patient flowResolve registration and insurance issues in a timely mannerProvide excellent customer service to patients, families, and internal teams
