Patient Services Representative Cape Cod Orthopaedics Location:
Sandwich, MA Full Time/Non-Exempt Join Our Team Cape Cod Orthopaedics is seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting our providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional orthopedic care. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion. Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information accurately. Answer and direct incoming phone calls while addressing patient questions and concerns. Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments in accordance with office policies. Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure patient information is up to date. Coordinate with physicians, medical assistants, and other team members to support efficient patient flow. Protect patient privacy and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform additional administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, orthopedic practice, or healthcare customer service preferred. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical scheduling software is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Excellent customer service skills with a patient-centered approach. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
