Job Description
Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts which consists of an academic medical center, three community hospitals and the region's largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our staff. Position Highlights:
- Join our inpatient palliative medicine program providing patient-centered care in a supportive environment to patients and families facing advanced illness and end-of-life challenges.
- Collaborate closely with a vibrant interdisciplinary team consisting of Social Work, Nursing, Spiritual Care Services, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
- Our inpatient palliative care team provide consults to patients at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, an academic medical center in the heart of the Pioneer Valley.
- Assess and manage symptoms of patients with advanced illnesses. Recommend treatment as appropriate in a consultative model with the hospital medicine providers and other disciplines involved in the patient's care. Comfort with holding family meetings, discussing goals of care with patient and families, and developing plan of care.
- This position is full time, Monday-Friday. No nights, weekends, or call required.

Qualifications:
BC Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with clinical experience in palliative care, or geriatrics settings. The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full-time commitment for exempt employees.Palliative Care AP:
