Job Description
Overview Full-time Appointment Scheduler/Administrative Associate in a busy and rapidly growing Cardiology practice (26 Providers). Our Team provides extraordinary customer service to our patients and referring physician practices in a medical office setting. The qualified candidate must be a high school graduate with a minimum of two years experience in a healthcare setting and a strong background in customer service is crucial. Familiarity with computers, insurance, and medical terminology is required. Candidates with experience using EPIC as well as cardiology terminology is preferred. Attention to detail is essential. Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Proven ability to manage multiple telephone lines and perform under pressure is a must. Daily tasks of an Appointment Scheduler/Administrative Associate include but are not limited to: Answering 50 -100 telephone calls daily Routing messages to the appropriate department Managing message inbox within EPIC Managing workque within EPIC Scheduling appointments (from workque, inbox, faxes, emails) Sending/receiving fax messages Mailing out appointment reminders Investigating patient history with our providers in up to 3 additional EHR systems
