This Contract to permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys guiding patients through registration and scheduling while helping create a smooth front-desk experience. The person in this role will balance administrative accuracy with compassionate service, ensuring patient information and insurance details are handled properly.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and provide attentive assistance during registration, check-in, and appointment coordination.
- Collect, review, and update demographic, insurance, and related account information to maintain accurate records.
- Schedule patient visits and help manage calendar adjustments, cancellations, and follow-up appointments as needed.
- Verify medical insurance coverage and communicate benefit-related information or documentation needs to patients.
- Address patient questions with clarity and empathy, escalating concerns appropriately when additional support is required.
- Maintain organized documentation and complete data entry tasks in accordance with healthcare office procedures.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to support efficient patient flow throughout the day.
- Assist with operational updates or workflow changes, including process adjustments tied to internal system transitions when applicable. Requirements
- Prior experience in patient registration, patient access, medical office support, or a similar healthcare administrative role.
- Ability to schedule appointments accurately while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of insurance verification processes and patient intake documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to assist patients professionally and compassionately.
- High attention to detail when entering, reviewing, and maintaining confidential patient information.
- Comfortable using healthcare office systems, electronic records platforms, and standard administrative software.
- Reliable availability for a permanent Monday through Friday schedule.
- Commitment to delivering courteous service and supporting an organized patient access process.
