Job Description:

We are seeking a friendly and detail‑oriented Medical Office Assistant to support a busy specialty healthcare practice. This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while ensuring efficient patient scheduling and accurate administrative support.

Key responsibilities:

Schedule new and follow‑up patient appointments accurately and efficiently Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Greet patients and visitors upon arrival and ensure a positive front‑desk experience Verify patient insurance eligibility and demographic information prior to appointments Enter and update patient data within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Maintain accurate documentation and support daily front‑office operations Skills EMR, healthcare, customer service, Health care, Customer service oriented, Microsoft office, Clerical Top Skills Details EMR, healthcare, customer service Additional Skills & Qualifications Must have excellent computer skills and customer service Must have at least 1-2 yrs in a healthcare administrative type role, front desk, med sec, scheduling etc. Must have specialty practice exp Also open to MAs who want to work up front Must have excellent communication skills EPIC experience would be preferred Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Havre de Grace, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
