Experience:
Leadership experience preferred About the Role We are hiring a Nursing Director to oversee inpatient care services, including medical/surgical units and ICU operations. This role is responsible for nursing leadership, patient care quality, safety, staffing oversight, and daily operational performance across inpatient nursing departments. Responsibilities Provide leadership and operational oversight for medical/surgical units and ICU. Ensure high-quality, safe, and patient-centered nursing care. Manage nursing services using sound human resource and financial management practices. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient and family care. Implement and maintain policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements. Assume 24-hour responsibility, authority, and accountability for patient care activities and service operations. Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing required. Master's degree in nursing preferred. Active Maine Registered Nurse license or Compact RN license required. License must be current and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
BLS/BCLS
certification required. ACLS certification required. Specialty and leadership certification preferred. Strong leadership, communication, quality, safety, and operational management skills required. Lead with purpose and make a meaningful impact in inpatient nursing care while supporting exceptional patient outcomes.
