GENERAL SUMMARY
•Ready to be a patient safety superhero? The Virtual Patient Safety Assistant (VPSA) plays a vital role in our mission to keep patients safe and sound! You'll be the eyes and ears on the screen, virtually observing patients, spotting any risky situations before they happen, and jumping into action with friendly redirects. When things need immediate attention, you'll be the communication champion who alerts the right team members to respond. Plus, you'll champion Henry Ford Health's philosophy, mission, and values every single day—because patient safety is everyone's win! •
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Keep a watchful eye on patients through virtual monitoring, catching unsafe behaviors and situations in real-time Deliver friendly, effective verbal redirects to guide patients toward safer choices Communicate promptly with appropriate staff members when bedside response is needed Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of observations and interventions Embody Henry Ford Health's commitment to patient safety and organizational values Collaborate with the care team to create a safer, healthier environment for every patient Qualifications Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Previous computer operation and/or monitoring system/camera control experience preferred. Previous experience with and familiarity of electronic medical records (e.g., documenting within the electronic medical record).
