Clemens, Michigan The primary responsibility of the Front Office Specialist (FOS) is welcoming guests to the clinic which includes greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and collecting patient payments. The FOS is also responsible for safeguarding patient information including data entry into the electronic medical record system.

Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome clinic guests using a warm, friendly demeanor. Answer the phones using a standard greeting and a professional demeanor. Daily collection of patient payments. Check patients out after each visit and ensure additional visits are scheduled. Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorization for treatment for all new patients. Prepare new patient charts and confirm new patient appointments for the following day. Closure of each new patient after completion of the initial visit. Process incoming/outbound fax transmission of electronic medical records. Prepare active patient reports and monitor discharges. Complete the End of Day paperwork and monitor payment collection reports. Maintain a clean workstation and waiting area.
