Schedule:
Full-Time (40 Hours/Week), Every other weekend and holiday rotationShift:
Midnights 11:00 PM- 7:30
AM General Summary:
The Patient Safety Assistant (PSA) plays a vital role in supporting the well-being and safety of patients within the Henry Ford Health System. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the PSA is responsible for ensuring a safe environment and providing one-on-one observation and support to patients.Key Responsibilities:
Monitor patient activity and behavior, promptly reporting changes to the RN in accordance with established protocols. Assist patients with daily activities, including feeding, bathing, toileting, and ambulating. Offer companionship and engage patients in enjoyable activities such as reading, card games, or conversation. Ensure the patient's comfort and dignity while maintaining a safe environment. Adhere to the philosophy, mission, and values of Henry Ford Health System in all interactions and tasks. Operate monitoring equipment (if assigned to monitor role) and alert nursing staff of any notable changes or concerns. Why Henry Ford Health System?
