Adoption Assistance Plan Clinical Assistant Qualifications:
Prior computer experience required
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
General knowledge of Accounts Receivable
Vital sign measurement (training available)
CNA experience preferred
BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Job Responsibilities:
Provides patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Greets patients, caregivers, and visitors to the department in a professional and friendly manner.
Completes basic rooming standards per departmental guidelines such as obtaining height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
Ensures accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
Prepares patients for examination and procedures.
Helps clinician or clinical support staff during patient exams or minor procedures.
Cleans and restocks exam rooms.
May order department supplies.
Registers patients, sets up insurance, and verifies demographics each time a patient arrives at the clinic.
Assists with processing patient paperwork, forms, and referrals.
May schedule and verify patient appointments.
Attends education and training seminars.
Maintains a safe work environment and complies with standards for safe practice and standard precautions.
Other duties as assigned.
Patient Service Rep Qualifications:
Prior computer experience required
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
General knowledge of Accounts Receivable preferred
BLS certification
Job Responsibilities:
Greets visitors to the department in a professional and friendly manner.
Patient registration, insurance set up, and verifies demographics each time patient arrives at the clinic.
Monitors monthly update of MN Healthcare Programs.
Identifies primary care providers.
Answers patient questions, including billing, and provides directional needs.
Schedules and verifies patient appointments.
Collects patient payments and co-pays at each visit.
Works closely with clinicians and nursing staff.
Attends education and training seminars.
Orders and stocks department supplies.
Performs internal and external patient referrals.
