Patient Access Representative Position Details Elevates the patient experience by greeting patients with a warm and welcoming attitude, demonstrating attentiveness to the needs of patients and visitors and providing assistance in a caring and professional manner. Schedules and coordinates appointments; manages and maintains provider schedules for various services including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, respiratory therapy, chiropractic, and massage. Collects demographic and financial information from patients, obtains required signatures, and enters the data into the electronic medical record, ensuring the accurate completion of the registration process. Operates the telephone console using a caring and professional demeanor to assist callers. Receives orders and contacts patients to schedule the corresponding appointments. Processes payments, sorts incoming and outgoing mail, and scans documents. Works closely with the patient financial services team on matters related to insurance, prior authorizations, and worker's compensation claims. Ensures referrals are addressed and completed in a timely manner. Addresses and manages work queues within the department as assigned. Have proficient human relations skills and the capability to respond calmly and efficiently in urgent and emergent situations.
