Job Description

Due to our exponential growth, Gateway Medical Solutions is looking to hire a new Patient Accounts Representative.

Job Duties:

Add patient appointments to the scheduler. Answer incoming patient phone calls as secondary receptionist Review patient accounts and notify offices of balances. Collect patient payments. Work with in-office Collections Representative to collect on delinquent accounts.

Qualifications:

Excellent Customer Service and communication skills. Proficient in web-based navigation. Detail oriented. Proficient typing skills. No remote positions available, must be on campus. Experience not required, training will be given.

Starting pay:

$15/hr with no experience/education, is negotiable based on level of experience/education.

Office Hours:

M-F 8:30am-5:00pm, we are flexible with scheduling. We offer a CPB (Certified Professional Biller) Course (valued by AAPC at $7,200) on campus once a year taught by two AAPC Certified Instructors, FOR FREE. (Not required for Patient Accounts department.) If you choose to take the national exam after the course, we will reimburse you for the cost of the test, and you will receive a raise. Classes meet once a week at 1:15pm on Fridays, last for around 2 hours depending on the curriculum that week, and the total class duration is around 8 months.
