Job Description

The Registration Clerk is responsible for supporting the patient experience by completing accurate and timely patient registration, collecting and processing demographic and insurance information, and receiving and recording charges and payments. This position serves as an important point of contact for patients and must provide professional, courteous service while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. The Registration Clerk must be willing to cross-train and develop competencies in other areas as needed to support departmental operations. Flexible scheduling may be required.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Education High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience Two (2) years of job-related experience preferred. Special Qualifications Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment. Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, visitors, and staff at all levels. Must be bondable. Ability to successfully complete a typing assessment with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute. Typing test will be administered and scheduled by KDMC. Ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment. Ability to sit for prolonged periods while performing registration and administrative duties. Ability to perform essential job functions with attention to accuracy and customer service.
