Sterling Medical is seeking a full-time Medical Support Assistant to provide services at the Helena VA Medical Center.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (excluding federal holidays) Position Overview The Medical Support Assistant will provide administrative and scheduling support while delivering exceptional customer service to Veterans, families, providers, and VA staff. Key Responsibilities Support the scheduling and reception team while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Coordinate Veteran care with community providers when services are unavailable Process and manage community care consults using HSRM, PPMS, and other applicable systems. Maintain and update patient demographic and medical information Schedule appointments and complete pre- and post-appointment follow-ups. Respond to phone calls and patient inquiries in a courteous and timely manner. Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Ensure all patient communications are completed accurately and on time. Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience with medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Medical terminology knowledge Contact Information iboyett@sterlingmedcorp.com
