Job Description

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Chapel Hill is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) who wants to practice patient-centered, one-on-one care with genuine clinical autonomy in an owner-led outpatient clinic. Our clinic is intentionally designed around listening to patients, treating them one-on-one, and celebrating meaningful outcomes—not volume, checklists, or rigid protocols. Clinicians here are trusted to think critically, adapt treatment plans, and practice at the top of their license. In return, we expect professionalism, accountability, and ownership of patient outcomes. If you prefer high-volume, protocol-driven clinics, this is not the right role. We focus heavily on balance, vestibular, neurological, and fall-risk populations, while maintaining a strong outpatient orthopedic foundation. Our clinic offers the autonomy and close-knit culture of a small owner-led practice, with the resources and specialty training opportunities of the larger FYZICAL network. Our full-time therapists treat patients one-on-one and are not expected to carry the kind of high-volume schedule that has become common in outpatient therapy. No provider in our clinic sees more than 12 patients in a day, allowing the time and attention needed to provide excellent care and build strong patient relationships. This is primarily a full-time role, but we are open to discussing reduced-hour or part-time arrangements for the right candidate. Job Responsibilities Perform comprehensive new patient evaluations and establish diagnoses Develop and implement individualized plans of care with clear goals and timelines Deliver and progress skilled physical therapy interventions Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings Educate patients on their condition, home exercise programs, and long-term care strategies Document evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and efficiently Collaborate with PTAs and the clinical team to ensure consistent, high-quality care Contribute to clinic discussions, process improvement, and professional standards Required Skills & Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program Current or eligible North Carolina Physical Therapist license Ability to practice independently and make sound clinical decisions Strong interest in patient-centered, one-on-one care Comfortable treating vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall-risk populations Outpatient orthopedic, neurological, or vestibular experience preferred (1+ year ideal) Self-motivated, curious, and committed to continued clinical growth Professional demeanor with strong communication and teamwork skills What We Offer Competitive compensation of $75,000-$100,000 based on experience, specialty background, and fit Medical plan contribution PTO and paid holidays 401(k) with employer match / retirement plan options Annual tuition reimbursement for continuing education and relevant certifications Access to specialty training opportunities in vestibular, balance, orthopedic, and neurological care A collaborative, experienced clinical team Modern outpatient orthopedic and balance-focused environment Leadership that values clinician input and long-term development A practice model that prioritizes patients and clinicians If you're a Physical Therapist who wants to practice real one-on-one care, be trusted as a professional, and focus on outcomes that matter to patients, we'd welcome a conversation.
