Job Description

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Registrar to join the Outpatient Diagnostic Center Registration team!
Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for scheduling and pre-registering patients for multiple services, including but not limited to diagnostic testing and outpatient special procedures. The registrar will have interactions with all levels of staff and management, physicians, patients, and families to obtain information and properly schedule and pre-register services.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. At least 6 months experience as registrar or 1 year of insurance verification or scheduling experience. Knowledge of procedure authorization and its direct impact on hospital's revenue cycle. Understanding of payer medical policy guidelines while utilizing these guidelines to manage authorization effectively. Basic understanding of human anatomy. Proficient use of CPT and ICD-10 codes
Hours:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours may vary based on the need of the deparmtnet. Your Health, Our Passion!
