This position is a unique combination of customer service, boarding reception, and hands-on patient care. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both people and animals, can handle a busy environment, and is willing to jump in wherever help is needed.
Responsibilities Include:
Greeting clients and providing friendly, professional customer service Checking boarding, daycare, and grooming patients in and out Answering phones, texts, emails, and client questions Scheduling appointments and assisting with boarding reservations Processing payments and maintaining accurate patient/client information Communicating boarding instructions, vaccine requirements, medications, feeding instructions, and special requests Coordinating with our veterinary, boarding, and grooming teams Assisting with patient handling and restraint when needed Helping transport patients between boarding and the hospital Assisting the veterinary team with basic patient-care needs as directed Keeping the reception and boarding front-desk areas clean and organized Helping maintain smooth communication between clients and the medical/boarding teamWe Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has excellent communication and customer-service skills Is comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments Can multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Is dependable, punctual, and works well as part of a team Pays close attention to details and follows instructions Is comfortable discussing patient needs and communicating professionally with pet owners Is willing to learn and take initiative Understands that veterinary and boarding environments can be physically and emotionally demanding Veterinary, animal-care, and reception experience isREQUIRED.
