CCHC New Bern Internal Medicine Specialists Monday-Friday, Full-time Company Overview Coastal Carolina Health Care, P.A. is a multi-specialty group practice dedicated to promoting the health of our patients through high-quality, compassionate, and personalized healthcare services. Established in 1998 with roots dating back to 1962, we strive to meet the evolving healthcare needs of our community. Summary We are seeking a skilled Referral Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Eastern North Carolina. In this role, you will play a crucial part in facilitating patient referrals and ensuring seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers, ultimately contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional care. Responsibilities Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and ensure timely processing of referral requests. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for referred patients. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their referral status and next steps. Collaborate with medical staff to streamline referral processes. Assist in managing medical records and documentation related to referrals. Provide support for billing inquiries related to referrals and insurance claims. Stay informed about changes in managed care policies and procedures. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably as a referral coordinator or similar role. Strong knowledge of managed care principles and insurance verification processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Proficient in medical terminology and record management. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
