Job Description

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: •
MUST HAVE YOU CDL
•The Medical Office Assistant and Mobile Unit Driver serve as the primary driver and Medical Office Assistant for the RHCC Mobile Unit. Duties in this position include but are not limited to: preparing the unit for deployment, driving and setting up the unit, closing up the unit for storage, registering, checking in and checking out patients, documenting and verifying patient information and collecting payments. At times when the Mobile Unit is not in operation, this position works as part of the RHCC Front Office team performing those duties necessary to prepare patients administratively for clinic visit in a traditional medical center.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: 1. Assist RHCC in maintaining a daily productivity goal as designated by the President/CEO. 2. Ensure quality patient care per JCAHO, Bureau of Primary Health Care, and RHCC standards. 3. Perform other necessary duties as required by the Robeson Health Care Corporation to meet the goal of providing primary health care services. Mobile Unit Driver Duties 4. Prepare Mobile Unit for deployment. 5. Drive Mobile Unit to and from scheduled events/appointments. 6. Safely Park, set up mobile unit at appointed location and then safely close up Mobile Unit before leaving appointed location. Drive Mobile Unit to garaging site and securely close-up Mobile Unit upon return at the end of a deployment. 7. Communicate any maintenance needs of the Mobile Unit to the Director of Facilities Services. 8. Participate in required EPIC (electronic medical record) training as directed by supervisor. 9. Provide patients with needed information. 10. Schedule patient appointments. 11. Call patients prior to appointments to confirm appointments and follow-up with no-shows (as applicable) 12. Advise patient of the Sliding Fee Program and other discount programs (as applicable). 13. Actively advise patients of balances due, collect and receive patient fees. 14. Verify and update patient's accounts. 15. Record and electronically send to the provider patientes requests, messages, and refill requests ( as applicable). 16. Accurately scan and attach medical records to a ptient;s medical record. Assure that all medical records and correspondence are scanned into the EMR daily ( as applicable). 17. Refer all calls regarding Medicaid eligibility or assistance to Robeson County Department of Social Services (as applicable). 18. Travel to medical center sites as directed to provide front office coverage/assistance when Mobile Unit is not deployed. 19. Maintain the confidentiality of Robeson Health Care Corporation and that of the patients/clients that the corporation serves. 20. Maintain HIPAA regulations and controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent and 2 years' experience or a certification in Medical Office Procedures. 2. Must have and maintain a valid North Carolina commercial driver's license (CDL Class B). 3. Must have adequate transportation as work may require rotation to other RHCC facilities. 4. 40 FT Freightliner Mobile Medical Unit. 5. GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating), 54,000 lbs. (CDL required)
