Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Patient Registration Clerk, where you'll be the welcoming face that sets the tone for patient experiences! In this vital role, you will manage patient intake processes, ensuring accurate registration and providing exceptional service to patients and their families. Your attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality will help maintain compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering a friendly environment for all. What you'll do Greet patients warmly and assist them with the registration process, ensuring all necessary information is collected accurately. Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification to facilitate smooth billing processes. Maintain electronic health records (EHR) using systems and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including CPT and ICD coding for medical billing purposes. Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone systems to address inquiries and provide information. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and support care plans as needed. Handle medical records management, filing, and clerical tasks to support overall office operations. Basic qualifications Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a positive patient experience. Preferred qualifications Good people skills Previous experience with health information management or administrative support in a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
