Job Description
The Bismarck Cancer Center, a state-of-the-art, freestanding radiation treatment facility located in Bismarck, North Dakota, is seeking a full-time Patient Access Representative to join our dynamic team of employees who collaborate to perform the highest quality of work with compassion and respect for co-workers, patients, and family members. We are looking for friendly and positive applicants who have a passion for the medical field and want to contribute to the care of cancer patients. Bismarck Cancer Center treats over 800 patients a year, and our Foundation helps provide necessary support services - Massage Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nutritional Counseling, Spiritual Care, Emotional Care, REACH, and Survivorship -- to treat the whole patient. We have also recently undergone an expansion that includes a brand-new second floor, renovation of the first floor, and the addition of a third linear accelerator and a second CT scanner. Responsibilities for this position include greeting all visitors and vendors, answering phone calls in a professional manner, scheduling appointments, checking in patients, contacting patients about upcoming appointments, collecting pertinent information from referring physicians and hospitals, registering patients, maintaining waiting room and patient snack area, and other duties as needed.
