What You'll Do Medical Interpretation As one of the first points of contact for many of our Spanish-speaking families, you'll serve as an essential communication bridge between patients, families, and our medical team.

Responsibilities include:

Accurately interpret medical conversations between providers and Spanish-speaking patients and families. Help families understand diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions. Ensure communication is culturally sensitive, compassionate, and easy to understand. Translate written materials such as patient forms, educational handouts, and medical instructions. Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Patient Care Reception Our reception team sets the tone for every visit. You'll help create a welcoming, organized, and efficient experience for our patients and families.

Responsibilities include:

Greet children and families with warmth, kindness, and professionalism. Answer a high volume of phone calls while providing excellent customer service. Schedule appointments and help maintain an efficient provider schedule. Complete patient check-in and check-out, collect co-pays, and verify insurance information. Keep patient records accurate and up-to-date within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and communication with specialists. Relay messages between patients, providers, pharmacies, schools, and other healthcare partners. Support our nursing and provider teams by ensuring important patient information reaches the right people quickly and accurately. What Makes You a Great Fit We're looking for someone who is: Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written). Passionate about serving children and families in a pediatric healthcare setting. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a medical interpreter or completion of medical interpreter training preferred. Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare reception, or customer service role preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology in both English and Spanish. Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams). High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Interpreter Certification is a plus.
