The VNA of Manchester and Southern New Hampshire provides 24/7 in-home support and services to patients in Manchester and the surrounding communities. We are committed to helping our patients navigate the challenges they face at home while recovering from surgery or coping with life-limiting illnesses or physical disabilities. The VNA care team provides individualized care across the continuum, bringing peace of mind to patients and their loved ones while providing professional healthcare services in the comfort of home. About the
Job:
Acts as a representative in all areas of clerical support. Assumes responsibility for processing referrals, answering phones to communicate with patients, family members, referral sources, and medical offices.
What You'll Do:
Receives and processes referrals from physician's offices, hospitals, and rehab facilities. Performs required insurance verification activity when appropriate. Obtains insurance information through department processes in order to ensure that proper authorization requirements will be fulfilled. Keeps track of each referral at various stages of completion and continually follows up on pending issues. Verifies accuracy of information by identifying patient's demographics, hospital number, insurance, and patient history. Researches the face-to-face date and reaches out to referral source to confirm appointment date if needed. Keeps track of sending orders for special program via fax and follows up by phone until returned. Receives incoming telephone calls, directs inquiries as appropriate and takes messages. Perform general office tasks including, and not limited to creating and updating spreadsheets.
Who You Are:
Education:
High school diploma required.
Experience:
Previous experience in a health care setting preferred. Experience performing similar work activities including, but not limited to clerical, billing, or insurance processing also preferred.

Work Shift:
Mon through Friday with rotating weekends.
