Job Description

Overview This is a 6 month temporary position (for maternity leave) which may turn into a long term opportunity especially for part time candidates. It is an excellent work environment and no experience is needed. I am willing to train the right candidate as long as you are energetic and a fast learner. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them if needed to the exam room. Take visions and medical histories. Perform visual field and OCT testing. Training by doctor. Review and update patient medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy policies and clinical confidentiality standards. Assist healthcare providers with chart documentation. Perform some clerical duties such as data entry, answering phones, making appointments when receptionist steps away from desk or is absent for the day. Restocking exam rooms. Assist in clinical tasks when needed within scope of practice, including basic patient assistance or preparing exam rooms. Multitasking and willingness to help other employees when required. Skills Some familiarity with Electronic Medical Records. Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information. Excellent customer service skills. Experience working in a clinical setting is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills combined with office experience in a healthcare setting to support both administrative and clinical functions. Effective communication skills for front desk interactions and phone communication with patients and healthcare providers.
