Certifications and Licenses Required:
BSN; MSN preferred Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License or active Compact Registered Nurse License with New Jersey endorsement BLS through American Heart Association upon hire ACLS through American Heart Association upon hire 3 - 5 years of Med./Surg. Telemetry and/or ER nursing experience National nursing certifications preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Proficient computer skillsScheduling Requirements :
Full Time Day Shift Monday - Friday, every other weekend and holiday rotation as needed by the deptEssential Functions:
The Telemetry Unit is a 38-bed unit. This team-oriented unit provides a wide variety of Medical/Surgical and diagnostic services to a diverse cardiac population ie, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, respiratory compromise and dysrhythmias. Act as an integral part of the Nursing Leadership Team TRMC Responsible for multiple teams who support daily essential patient care Provides 24 hour accountability for patient care delivery for specific cost centers Staff includes RN's, CNA's, Unit Secretaries, and Telemetry Technicians Ensures that quality age appropriate nursing care is delivered to all patients on his/her nursing unit in accordance with the philosophy, policies, procedures and program plans of the hospital Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation and continuing education Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies Develops, implements and maintains unit budget & quality measures Participates in nursing quality assurance Maintains unit administration, including scheduling and maintains of supplies and equipment Uses and understands the principles of growth and development to assess each patients age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and careOther Duties:
