Job Summary:
We are partnering with this company to identify a compassionate, service-driven professional for a Patient Support Specialist - NJ opportunity. This role supports patients, physicians, and pharmacies with access-to-care and reimbursement needs, helping create a smooth and reassuring experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Respond to inbound and outbound calls and claims related to access to care and reimbursement needs. Provide clear program information, eligibility support, and general guidance to help ease the patient experience. Escalate requests when needed and coordinate with internal teams such as Program Management, IT, and Contact Center partners to resolve issues. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including mail sorting and claims processing based on volume and departmental support needs.
Required:
1+ years of experience in health care or case management in a high-volume contact center environment, or a similar environment. Experience working in pharmacy benefits, health care insurance, and/or medical billing is preferred. Strong patient care, health care case management, customer empathy, call center operations, and communication skills. Ability to convey information clearly, listen actively, and use correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation in written communication. Experience with call center operating metrics and performance management, third-party systems, and/or call center software is a plus. Fluent English and Spanish skills are a plus; English speaking, reading, and writing are required, and Spanish speaking is listed as required in the job description.
