Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Entry-Level Technician in a busy medical office specializing in optical services! Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with the intake process, including collecting personal information and verifying insurance details Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen levels to support clinical assessments Prepare examination rooms using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment for patient safety Assist with optical services by helping patients select eyewear, taking measurements for lenses, and understanding basic optical terminology Maintain accurate medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or other EMR platforms Support clinic operations by managing front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and handling patient inquiries Uphold HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times Assist with basic medical coding and billing procedures related to ophthalmology services when needed Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic flow and excellent patient experiences Experience Previous experience in a medical office setting or retail sales environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to optical is a plus Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms enhances your ability to succeed in this role Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude are essential for delivering outstanding patient care Basic understanding of retail math can be beneficial for assisting with optical sales and inventory management Prior clinic experience or exposure to medical billing and coding is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be available for interested candidates Embark on your healthcare journey with us!
