Patient Care Coordinator

Occupational Therapy practice specializing in hand rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Patient Care Coordinator for part-time work in Teaneck, NJ. Responsibilities include Front Desk Reception, Insurance Authorization and Billing Operations. Candidates must be computer literate, organized and able to multitask.

Front Desk Reception :

Greet patients; answer phones and schedule appointments; enter new patient demographic and insurance information in EMR; mail, e-mail and fax communication; order supplies.

Insurance Authorization :

Authorization includes understanding and explaining insurance coverage benefits to patients.

Billing Operations :

insurance verification and authorization; maintain daily record of electronic, mail, and in-office payments; regular communication with billing service for collection follow-ups.

Skills/Qualifications :

Superior computer/technology skills with ability to learn EMR and billing systems Highly detail-oriented Strong written and oral and communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Calm demeanor and ability to work under pressure Minimum of five years relevant experience required Spanish as a second language is not required but preferred
