Job Description
Responsible for the Financial Screening of Patients and referral to the appropriate Financial Service when needed. Follows up on all In patients and Same Day Stay Patients as assigned ensuring the information needed for an accurate and complete bill is obtained. Maintains accurate documentation on every patient. Accounts are to be completed in an efficient and timely manner. Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts normally acquired through completion of a Associate's degree in Business or closely related field and two to three months of previous work related experience, plus 3 to 6 months of on the job training and orientation. Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) by National Association of Healthcare Access Management preferred. Bilingual preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of medical terminology is considered an asset.
