$90,000•$93,000 per year
Schedule:
Monday•Friday, daytime hours Every other first Saturday of the month: 9:00 AM•1:00 PM About Us CEC Healthcare is a not-for-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services to historically underserved communities across Long Island. We are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with limited incomes, including many patients with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), behavioral health conditions, and substance use disorders. Our integrated healthcare centers located in Bethpage and Glen Cove support a collaborative team-based model that integrates medical and behavioral health services to improve patient outcomes. Position Overview We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient primary care clinic in Bethpage. This role provides direct clinical support to providers, performs nursing assessments, and manages patient triage in a fast-paced clinic environment serving a diverse patient population. Many of our patients include individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) , making compassion, patience, and strong communication skills essential. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse (RN) seeking an outpatient primary care or clinic nurse position with a stable daytime schedule. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for outpatient primary care patients Provide patient triage and respond to clinical inquiries Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care Coordinate care with medical providers and behavioral health professionals Document patient care in eClinicalWorks EMR Maintain compliance with clinical policies and healthcare regulations Qualifications Required Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 1 year RN experience, preferably in an outpatient or physician office setting Current BLS certification Experience working with patients with I/DD Knowledge of physician office or outpatient clinic workflows Preferred Experience using eClinicalWorks (EMR) Strong patient education and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment Benefits We offer a competitive benefits package including: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Tuition Reimbursement Stable daytime schedule (no overnight shifts) Opportunity to make a meaningful impact serving underserved communities As an FQHC , employees may also be eligible for certain federal loan repayment programs such as those administered by the National Health Service Corps .
