Job Description

The Patient Representative is responsible for supporting front-end patient access functions within the MRI department, including accurate patient registration, collection and verification of demographic and financial information, and insurance verification. This role ensures required authorizations and pre-certifications are identified and obtained in accordance with payer guidelines while promoting data accuracy, compliance, and a positive patient experience.
Requirements:
Education Minimum:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
A.A.S.
Experience Minimum:
Minimum 1 year previous related office (hospital or physician) billing experience required. Experience to include familiarity of relevant third party billing regulations and ability to code
ICD 9/ ICD10
diagnosis. Experience dealing with patients in an effective and professional manner, typing 40-50 wpm, medical terminology, knowledge of CPT coding.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills. Computer literacy

Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record
Compensation:
$18.65 - $22.08
