We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our primary care . Responsibilities As a key member of our clinical team, you will help support patient care operations and ensure an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare exam rooms by sanitizing surfaces, stocking supplies, and ensuring medications/vaccines are ready for daily use Review upcoming patient appointments and identify preventative care gaps, including mammograms, colonoscopies, and immunizations Escort patients to exam rooms and maintain efficient patient flow throughout the practice Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, allergies, medications, and patient concerns Assist providers with procedures and testing, including EKGs, Holter monitors, and other in-office procedures Collect, label, process, and document laboratory specimens and results Perform quality control checks on clinical equipment and testing materials Provide front desk support as needed, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support positive patient outcomes Qualifications Graduate of a New York State-accredited Medical Assistant program required Current Medical Assistant certification preferred (NHA, AMT, AAMA, or NCCT) Current BCLS certification required (American Heart Association, in-person training only) Strong clinical skills, including phlebotomy and aseptic technique Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities Commitment to delivering respectful, compassionate, patient-centered care Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Why Join Us? This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
