Job Description

Oneida Health is looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant-Float for its external medical practices. This position is designed to be both clinical and administrative and reports to the Practice Manager. The ideal candidate will have to be able to work both independently and as part of a team with a customer service attitude. Medical experience is a plus. Hours are 8am - 4:30pm. You would report 3 days to the Podiatry office and float within our network for the remaining 2 days. Come for the Salary, Stay for the

Great At:
Using a customer service attitude for all patient interactions in person and on the telephone. Being a keen observer while collecting and recording data about the patient. Addressing the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrating strong computer skills. Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients including infection prevention techniques according to hospital standards. Assisting providers with procedures and examinations. Performing treatments and procedures as directed. Reassuring patients about wait times and delays, while giving priority to acutely ill patients. Maintaining medical records accurately. Checking equipment and stocking supplies as needed. Placing supply and pharmacy orders. Facilitating and executing physician orders as directed. Coordinating and scheduling referrals and surgeries.
