Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused staff member for our Medical Records Department & Reception to join our healthcare team. This role combines front desk responsibilities with medical records management, ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate recordkeeping. •
MUST BE AVAILABLE FRIDAYS
•Key ResponsibilitiesFront Desk / Reception Duties Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries Verify patient demographics and insurance information Collect co-pays and assist with basic billing tasks Maintain a clean and organized reception area Medical Records Duties Maintain and organize patient medical records (electronic and paper) Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of records Upload, scan, and file documents into the system Process requests for medical records in compliance with privacy regulations Assist healthcare providers in retrieving patient information Follow HIPAA and organizational policies for data security Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a medical office preferred Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Work Environment Fast-paced medical office or clinic setting Frequent interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff
