Job Description

Our Pediatrics Guilderland office is hiring a full-time Patient Support Representative to join their team!
The hours are:
Monday - Thursday 8AM-5PM Occasional Fridays, alternative day off during the weeks covering Fridays. The primary responsibility of this role is to answer phones in a high-volume call center, and to schedule appointments.
Responsibilities:
Answer multiple line phone system, forwarding calls to appropriate location or handling calls personally when appointments are needed. Remove messages from phone system and return calls to patients as needed. Cancel and reschedule patients when necessary. Schedule appointments for patients, following office protocols for access to care. Document verbal conversations and information into patient record in an accurate, legible and timely manner. Transfer/retrieve office phones to/from answering service. Answer overflow of phone calls and direct appropriately. Process incoming telephone calls/messages based on office policy and procedure. Compensation:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour CCP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable. Minimum of one year work experience. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures preferred. Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients, family members, physicians, providers, managers, co-workers, and external customers. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
