- Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required Availability for 2-Week Training Period Monday
- Friday 8am-4:30pm Required At St.
Responsibilities:
Welcome patients and families with professionalism, empathy, and a service-first mindset Register patients efficiently and accurately for outpatient and inpatient services Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications Collect patient financial responsibility payments and explain benefits and coverage in an easy-to-understand manner Serve as a trusted resource for patients, physician offices, and hospital departments Utilize multiple systems and technology platforms to support patient access functions Help improve patient experiences by identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, payer guidelines, and organizational policies Required High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of customer service experience HFMA CRCR orNAHAM CHAA
certification within one year of hire Preferred Patient Access or healthcare registration experience Medical terminology knowledge Experience with insurance verification and authorizations Understanding of diagnostic and procedural coding Ability to explain insurance benefits and financial responsibilities Pay range: $17.25- 22.
