Summary:
Leads the workflow of Dental Clinic front desk area efficiently while maintaining a positive and pleasant working environment. Coordinates the daily operations relative to patient care and managing dental provider's schedules. Maintains positive employee morale, oversees computerized patient management system functions and generally ensures all office matters are handled effectively, professionally, and in an expeditious manner. Keeps Practice Manager informed of appropriate activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education Required:
High School diploma or equivalent Associate degree
Preferred Experience & Training Required:
Three (3) years of previous medical office experience (i.e., Medical Assistant, Medical Receptionist; Referral Coordinator); Dental office setting preferred Experience with computerized patient management system.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
Knowledge of dental terminology and dental codes preferred. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Skilled in interpersonal communication to effectively interact in person and over the telephone with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital personnel. Ability to work effectively in a work team environment and assume responsibility for individual contributions. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
